What happens when you cross Apple's smartwatch with a food processor? One
vlogger decided to find out. Don't try this at home!
The Apple Watch is
the latest must-have gadget for fans of the company's iconic products,
but one vlogger has decided to test the smartwatch like it has never
been tested before – by putting it in a blender.
Tom
Dickson from Blendtec has put the Apple Watch through its paces in the
latest instalment of this "Will It Blend?" series of YouTube videos, and Apple superfans will likely be horrified.
In a light-hearted video, which comes with the caveat "Don't try this at home," Dickson takes a brand new Apple Watch – worth upwards of £300 – and casually drops it into a food mixer.
"The Apple Watch is a work of art, it should be on your wrist, not in a Blendtec," Apple's computerised voice Siri begs in the video.
"Siri, I'm afraid there's no other way to answer the question: 'Will it
blend,'" Dickson replies, before pressing the start button and watching
the smartwatch's demise.
The result is a mass of tiny dust particles and chewed up metal, which Dickson jokingly refers to as "Siri smoke," before warning viewers not to inhale the vapours.
Given that customers around the world are having to wait weeks if not months to get their hands on their very own Apple Watches, a repeat performance is perhaps as unlikely as it is inadvisable.
